An Interesting Morning
The weekend has been a wonderful one and I’ve spent most of my active hours with photography. My lovely friend Fatini and I decided to hit the inner streets of Kuala Lumpur armed with our eyeballs and cameras and went out for a street-side shootout. Saturday was spent roaming around the Central Market and Petaling Street areas in downtown Kuala Lumpur and managed to make new visual discoveries. And here’s my favorite street shot for that session that pretty much summarizes it all:
Sunday morning was very much different however. We decided to wake up before dawn and head towards the Sultan Abdul Samad building to catch some dawn light shots of the moorish buildings. Everything went according to plan until we reached the destination. My body’s clockwork was not tuned to the early hour and to put it simply, shit happens.
[Insert awkward silence here]
And on top of that, I discovered that I also forgot to bring my compact flash card for my camera. Looking at the letter ‘E’ blink on the camera lcd just made my heart sink further. So I simply walked around carrying gear and tried to enjoy the urban morning light while my friend took her time composing her shots.
Lessons learned:
Tune body clockwork.Bring extra toilet paper in the car.- Get an extra compact flash card for emergencies.

HAHAHA! I love the first shot you have up there. The little cracks in the (stucco?) walls are especially nice juxtaposed against the fading color of the reddish beam?…
Would be interesting to see this shot without the person in it as well.
Thank you very much my darkie brother

I did have one without her in it, but for some reason it didn’t have the dynamic ‘oomph’ i was looking for. When I visualized the shot at the time, the Super Mario theme song was going through my head. All she would have to do is jump and knock the red to get the gold coins
and to this person who witnessed them all. You owe me BIGGG time. well, SHIT happens for a reason.
now you make me jingle mario.
yes princess, thank you for uhh… covering my ass
so does that mean more haagen daz ice cream for you?
hehehe…
and yay for the mario jingle
hahaha, this is funny man!
{insert rolling over the floor laughing like a special breed of mad cow+hyena here}
I will take note on the toilet paper …. cos I don’t have a Nikon SLR yet. heh.
hahahaha gee thanks abby
… and yes, one can never have too much spare toilet paper.
I get the feeling that “Super” Mario was a racist…I don’t know why. ?????????
hahahaha.. yes.. very “super” especially when he was on shrooms! Man that game had so many interesting connotations
