An Extraordinary Month
It has been awhile since my last entry as things have been so incredibly busy for the past month. In fact it’s quite amazing just how many things have happened. Taking a step back, it really is staggering and surreal to realize that more things have happened within a month than what has transpired in the past year. I’ll provide just a summary of everything that has been going on.

The photo above was taken upon my arrival at the mass transit center in Singapore’s Changi airport. Isn’t the design of the place simply amazing?
- I am now the Senior Interactive Design Lead at my company. Our goal is to build up a team of amazing design talent as we have a lot of very exciting projects coming up. In short, we hope to create some of the most badass pieces of media technology.
- I was one of the speakers at the Microsoft ReMix event in Singapore. Check out my bio entry on there too! My colleagues and I shared our experiences in creating a certain very high key project which the Malaysian public will see in a very prominent place in due time.
- I was also one of the speakers just this past Monday at the Microsoft Expression Studio launch at their headquarters in the Petronas Twin Towers. I presented the same set of slides during the ReMix event, but elaborated a bit more about my design methodology.
- Speaking of all this technology and design development stuff, I’ve been doing design research on Microsoft’s new Silverlight which is supposed to give Flash a run for its money. It’s still in the preliminary Alpha stages, but it holds promise. I will be developing a lot of stuff with it very soon.
And to my buddies back in the states, happy 4th of July!
Well, I guess having a good command of English with wacky accent certainly help in getting your audience attention, doesn’t it? I’ve been checking out Silverlight and Blend too. But I couldn’t get myself a copy of Blend. Can you pass it to me?
Hehe yeah… it’s also what I get for having a big mouth
The version of Blend I’m using is their latest May Preview which you should be able to download here.
I’m currently knocking out an interface design for a cool video/slide editing application, having tons of fun!
Get into any fistfights with the Singaporeans?
Hahaha no worries, no fistfights or brawls broke out. Everyone there was really cool and I got along with them all, and especially the lovely ladies
Ahh…the lovely ladies of Singapore. Speaking of ladies, I met a girl who is part Malaysian and has helped give suggestions for Mick’s books.
Her site is called http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com/index.php
Here’s a clip that reminds me of Ai
ahahahahahahaha!!!! that’s classic!

heh, it also reminds me of the moist-tip-behind-the-ear trick
We shoud reanact some of the “white board episodes” and put them up on Youtube. Or the “kiss”.
We also never got to make that silent art film about the brother who could not abstain from pork and thus faced the wrath of his little community.
reenact. damn i suck.
i’m proud of ya. but bear in mind i will be holding the “pin” all the time. (you know what i mean)
@wad: ahhh yes, the infamous whiteboard art! I remember creating something similar in one of the mentor room whiteboards. The two white folk who came in and saw it afterwards simply said: “now that’s just disgusting”
And the film shall be made! Speaking of films… I’ve got myself involved in something interesting on this side of the world
@fatini: thank you so very much my dear
heheheh and yes, thank you for that little pin as well, I know I’ll be needing lots of it soon
wow. simply wow. good for you. am happy for you.
